Rund 7.500 Schülerinnen und Schüler aus 64 Hamburger Schulen haben im laufenden Schuljahr die Kunst der freien Rede und der guten Debatte gelernt. Leona Steinhoff, Schülerin im naturwissenschaftlichen Profil unsere Schule, gehört zu den besten dieser 7.500 und hat am vergangenen Dienstag, den 22. März 2016, den dritten Platz im Landesfinale erzielt.

Nachdem Leona schon im Schul– und Regionalfinale beeindruckend debattierte, überzeugte sie im großen Landeswettbewerb die Jurys durch ihr redegewandtes, meinungsstarkes und selbstsicheres Auftreten. Debattiert wurden in der Altersgruppe II die Fragen:

Das Landesfinale fand im Großen Festsaal des Rathauses unter der Schirmherrschaft von Bürgerschaftspräsidentin Carola Veit und Schulsenator Ties Rabe statt. Als Juroren hatten die Spitzen aller Bürgerschaftsfraktionen die jungen Rednerinnen und Redner bewertet, die die letzte Streitfrage debattierten:

Die Landessieger der Altersgruppe II heißen Clara Grolle (Christianeum) und Lennart Ladewig (Gymnasium Buckhorn) und werden Hamburg vom 16. bis 18. Juni beim Bundesfinale in Berlin vertreten.
